Curtis sorry to hear about the ribs. Garrett told me you had a tumble in the new section. He said he didn't see it, but ran over to give you a helping hand. I know he feels bad that you got hurt, but he didn't skip a beat when he told me he got to ride your bike back to the trailer.
Hope you feel better soon. Your #1 fan will miss you not being out on the track.

Curtis, word on the street is that your bike just wouldn't pull your weight otherwise you'd have made it over. Ever think about going on a diet? Just kidding. Sorry to hear that it got you. I've been unusally busy the last week and a half at work and sound jobs so I haven't had time to be at the track this week. I have to work a job in Austin Saturday but plan on being back in Waco Saturday night, perhaps I can finish it up then or Sunday. Can you explain to me what happened so I'll know what to do to it? It's a very short distance so clearing it should be no problem. Would lowering the step up correct the problem or simply sloping the 2nd face more do the trick? When we get some water on the dirt in the turn it should pack and provide better drive so I don't think shortening it is necessary, do you? Let me know so I can fix it. Heal up so you can stay in the A class. ;D

Jeanine,
LMAO = Laughing My A$$ Off. That's a polite way of making fun of Curt!! Good one HyperFX!!
Curt,
Quit whining. My spill at Corsicana was twice as bad as yours. Heck, I dislocated a shoulder, bruised several ribs, tore both rotator cuffs, the handle bars burned a streak across my stomach, bruised the inside of one of my legs, and I still raced at Waco two weeks later...of course, someone had to start my bike, help me get on it, and I got lapped twice...but I was out there!!! I'm just messing with you. I know the feeling, and it's not a good one!!
Cyclepop,
I know about that not bouncing!! My wreck was in May, and I'm still not completely recovered. Getting old sucks!!! But, at least we're still able to get out there!!
Get well soon Curt. See at the next race.
Tim

I don't know if he jumped the big step up or not. He landed a little Nose Heavy and had kicked his bike out of gear while in the air. As soon as he touched down he was forward and I heard the big 450 go Whaaaaaaa then the front wheel started plowing a furrow good enough to plant potatoes and Curtis went in face first. We ran over then it was hard to see much else for the dust stirred up by Garrett and the Flea were rolling on the ground fighting over who was going to get to ride his bike back. Garrett won the battle.

I actually am starting to love that new jump and would like to see more challenging jumps like this in certain areas of the track. Its not the jump thats scaring everyone out there, ITS THE GAP. I see kids jumping the camels like they are going out of style but when it comes to a small gap they roll over. Gaps are intimidating at first but once you see someone like Garrett or the Flea doing them its like well I gotta step it up lol. I think the lip on the double after the step up needs extended at bit, otehr than that keep up the good work Jeff and Thank you very much Michael #429
