Those are pretty serious injuries. Hailey, does Wes live in the Waco area? How is he doing, now? Please, let us know.

He races the MX1 class and was pitted by the poles right beside the "Vet Pit Parking" Sunday, he's the one in the brand new truck with the home made looking trailer. #36 on the white YZ

does anyone know how he crashed? Just to the right of turns 3 & 4 on the half mile, there are a couple of jumps that are not part of the track anymore. He was doubling them and faced the landing. I was told the impact knocked off one of his boots! Ouch!

Hang in there Wes, that sounds like my laundry list from a little over a year ago, except for the collapsed lung. With those injuries it hurts to smile, breath and wiggle your little toe. Heal up quick dude!

Hey everybody, this is Wesley Friedrich. I wanted to thank you all for your concerns. I am actually doing pretty good, considering my injuries. I am healing up, what seems to be fairly quickly. For those who wanted to know, I actually cased the landing on the double, and after the impact my bike kicked out to the side so I bailed, the problem was after the bike hit the ground it bounced and landed on top of me! Anyways, I'm gonna make it, and I'll be back on the track as soon as I can. I'll be at he races on the 30th, if anyone wants to come by I'll be near where the green 921 bike is parked.

It's good to hear you're doing better. Hailey said she called you to check on you a few days ago and gave me the update. btw, we're racing the 23rd, not the 30th.

Oh yeah, my mistake, I was supposed to be racing in Kempner on the 30th. I guess I hit my head harder than I thought....

Well, I'm not sure yet... I've got a follow up appointment in a couple of weeks, and I'm hoping they'll give some sort of idea, but I'm hoping to be back on by February???
