Hi Jeff, My husband Mark Cockerham and son Zac have been members now for the past 1 1/2 years. We are pretty new to this site though. I was hoping you or maybe another member could possibly help us. This past saturday night at the Motorcross races at HOT, our cousin Ronald Joe Nelson was the one who had the bad accident in the 30 and over class. He hit a jump and lost it somehow, which caused him to fly really high in the air and he had to push the bike away. Anyway, we thought maybe someone that was there might have a video of him and his freefall. He will be ok, after numerous surgeries. He ended up with a broke and split right femur, crushed heel, broke ankle, all right leg. His left fibia and tibia were also broken. He has a long road of recovery but think overall he will be ok. If you could pass this info around. Thank you for your time. Connie Cockerham

Oh Connie, I was right in front of him on the track when it happened. I know he was in a lot of pain, I checked on him in the ambulance. I'm glad he's going to be okay, tell him to follow docs orders and heal up right and not to take long in doing so.
I'll post this over in the injury forum and spread the word around. We'd like to send him the Waco Eagles customary cactus plant if you'll pm me an address to send it to, you know the kind of plant that no one can kill. It's something that we do when one of our own gets hurt. We don't send flowers because they just die and it doesn't seem right.
I'll see if anyone has a video but right now I don't know of one.
Tell him to hang in there.
Jeff

Hi, I'm Anthony Wood; Ty and Austin's dad. We've just moved here from North Mississippi and have recently joined the Eagles. We've been out to the track about 3 times now. The boys and I are new to this, and everyone has been very nice to us, helping with riding tips and tips on setting up the bikes. Thank you.

Be sure to look us up when you get here. We are a private member facility open practicaly everyday of the year. regardless if you'r a serious racer or just a recreational rider, this is the best value for the buck out there. We race MX on the 3rd Sunday of every month except December and have 1/4 & 1/2 mile flat track as well a short woods loop. ps, my daughter is 14 and rides a KX85. We just had another 15 year old girl join this week. We currently have several female riders so I'm sure you will have plenty of company.

Howdy all! My name is Mike, my wife Dawn and I just paid our money for a membership. We are coming from CTOR by Ft Hood. It will be a pleasure to be a part of a club with such a strong membership base and history. We are bringing and unborn rider with us. We don't know yet if we need pink gear or blue, but we welcome any little rider that comes out ;D. I am military, for one more year, then who knows what life has in store for us. It's good to be here and I look forward to giving some of my time to help in any way I can to make the track and club better, so please let me know what I can do to help! Mike

I'm Warren Price. I've been logged into the forum for quite some time but only recently joined the club. I'm a retired old fart with plenty of time to play. We, wife and grandson, spent this past weekend at the track and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thanks a whole heap to Jeannine for meeting us with a key, getting us signed up and giving us a tour of local motorcycle shops. Looking forward to meeting all the members. We're hoping to be at the races on July 16.

Hey my name is Wayne. I am currently serving in Iraq, I am an Army dude stationed at Ft Hood. I have raced with you guys off and on for the last 4 years. I actually raced with you guys so much at one time that I would have to remind the sign up folks that I had to pay the full price to race. I really dig the family layed back atmosphere at the races you guys run.
I should be home in late fall and I look forward to coming back out to the races with everyone.
Hey Warren when are you gonna be a regular contributer to Racer X magazine?
Warren usually keeps the staff on their toes, he is their unofficial fact checker! ;D

Hi folks. This is my first post, as I had an old decrepit computer previously. Finally got a newer one and I can join the fun (benchracing by internet, much safer than actually racing). I will probably need some help in all this computer stuff from BlazingMX, HyperMX and worcs. Bye.
