A special thanks going out to the unknown members who helped my wife load the 5 bikes for my family after my crash on 6-12-05. Their help allowed my family to follow the ambulance to Hillcrest which was of such value since we are from Fort Worth and do not know our way around Waco very well. Also while I left in the ambulance with family following, another family on the way in the gate asked what had happend. My wife explained quickly and then left to follow the ambulance. These great members followed us to Hillcrest Hospital just to give us a phone # to someone in town where we could leave the trailer of bikes so they wouldn't be stolen in the hospital parking lot. I am a Fort Worth Firefighter and so greatful that there are others out there who are truley so kind. What a great family of Motorcyclist We have. Thanks To All

I am sooo glad you're OK! I asked if anyone knew anything about your condition, but could not find any info. It has been a while, how are you doing, now?

5 broken ribs, man it hurts just to think about it! Hope you get better real soon.
I don't mean to sound like I'm bragging about the Waco Eagles but I guess in fact I am. We have so many good members in our club that will go so far out of their way to assist in any way possible, that makes me proud to be associated with this fine group. If there's anything else we can help you with, just give a shout. Hope you heal up real soon and come back and hang with us.

Feeling pretty good at this point. Missed 8 weeks at work but thats part of paying the piper. Surpised at the slow healing in the rib department. Coming up on 13 weeks post crash day and it still hurts abit to sneeze (I do get harrased for being a violent sneezer though). All and all I'm just happy to not be in a wheelchair and will live to jump another day. Details on the incident for those curious...I was onshift at the FD the night before and was up nearly all night so when we went out that Sunday I was dog tired. As we all know riding tired will definately make your riding sloppy. Probably should have stayed in the lawn chair and just watched the kids ride but, well I just couldn't resist jumping the big 2stage tabletop some. Funny thing is I crashed on a small double that are just around the corner. Still suprised at the location I crashed at but, well, I crashed an easy jump, I'm guilty for sure of that. Thanks again. Rich

Sorry it took so long to respond, but I've been out of commission for a while (moved).. But we were the family that followed yours to the hospital.. I wondered how you were and glad to hear all is well!! I know how it is too up and go to the ER in the ambulance and was given the same treatment from my friends at Waco Eagles... Hope to meet you and your family again at the track....
