Jon told me there was an accident involving two riders today, around 7 PM. One (approx. 20 yrs old, short blond hair, Kawi rider, #121) sustained only minor injuries. However, the other (approx. 20, short dark hair, KTM rider, Dustin) may have injured his back, and was airlifted to Hillcrest. The accident took place at the landing of the first camelback. The KTM landing on the Kawi. Wayne C, and Glen M were on the flat track, and did not witness the accident, but did stay, at least until Dustin was airlifted to Hillcrest. Glen and Wayne probably know the riders names, but at this time, I only know "Dustin".
If you have any other information, please PM or call me, or Jeff, or any Club Officer. Thanks, ~Tony~
(Edit: Added Dustin's name)

Just confirmed the 2 riders were Dustin Collier & Chance Chupik. Still unclear of the details other than Chance was landed on, transported for a check up while Dustin was air lifted with back injury. The kawi sustained heavy damage to the frame, sub -frame and even bent both forks so the impact must have been really bad.

Just talked to Brad who is a Chaplain with the Christian Motorcycle Assoc. and he indicated that he spent some time with Dustin and that he is doing ok. Waiting on a CT Scan and believes there are no broken bones and that he should be released today from Scott & White. The way it sounded these guys are lucky to walk away from this with only minor injuries if any.

Does the ktm rider have a broken back or is it just brused? Both guys are fine, extremely lucky. No broken bones, only broken bikes and a pile of medical bills.
