Word I got was that he has some broken ribs, a collapsed lung, rutured spleen and a lacerated kidney. All that goes with a severe concussion. He will be in intensive care for a week.
Did anyone catch his name? I know is is suppossed to be a boyfriend of a girl that was there with her father and that he is 16. Was he actually a racer?
I have added a new rule to our short list we currently have and will bring it before the club at this months meeting for ratification. It states that there will be no one allowed on the track on race days that is not entered in an event, and there will be no one allowed to practice on the track during intermission. We will have consequences for those that choose not to comply. Because this incident happened during an organized event, even though it was intermission, it can open a BIG CAN OF WORMS for the club! Not to mention the time it took before we could restart the program. If the guy was not entered in an event we may not have a waiver signed other than the release (if he filled it out) when he came in the front gate. It takes only one incident to take us all down.

Did anyone catch his name? I was told his name is Kenny Trimuar. However, that is not confirmed.

Kenny is my girlfriends son, and was registered to and did race in the first 4 wheeler class, he was on the white Suzuki LTZ 400 quad during the race.
He is still in the hospital and will be there at least until Thursday, his injuries consisted of, a punctured and deflated lung, 3 broken ribs on his left side, a laserated spleen and kidney, and a concusion. He has been in and out of it for the past 2 days but this morning he is starting to remember things, and they are moving him to a private room this afternoon, finally. At the time of the accident he was on his brothers new 4 wheeler that we had just picked up Wed. and was un familiar with how much power the thing actually had and figured that it would be the same as his, unfornatly it wasnt and this is the result of riding unfamiliar equipment. As long as I can remember people have been riding on the track during intermission and I belive the new rule not to would be a good idea, I am also thinking that having an ambulance there might also be worth considering, because we used to have them before, not just because of this situation but of several that have happened in the past.
And on that note I would especially like to think the EMT that was there for the fine job that he did. I also want to thank Chris Perkins, Billy and Cathy, Curtis (Bagger), Luis, and Lee, Timm Collier, Ross, and all the rest of the people that helped out for this it goes to show how close knit our club memebers are.
Thanks to All of You for the visits and the phone calls.

The problem is that with an Ambulance on scene we do not have the excellent service of the guys on the 4 Wheelers. From seeing both in action I choose the guys on the 4 Wheelers.
