Jeff, one of the old systems I have will work. One is slow (800 Mhz), and needs a HDD. Another isn't as slow (1.6 Ghz), but has a small HDD. 8 Gig, I think. I have two or three others, but not sure of their condition. Also have a copy (legal!) of XP if needed.
Anyway, they're real cheap. $0.00!

Jeff there is one other requirement and that is an internet connection or some other connection to get the results to the internet. Currently I am using a Thumbdrive which backs up the program and allows me to take the program home to print to Adobe pdf. which is then emailed to you.
Something to think about.

Looks good. I still really don't understand the importance of the Trackside ID number. I thought all you had to do is give them the number and all was entered for you. Without a connection to a central database I don't see how this can work. The Flea's trackside ID number is 120455

Without a connection to a central database I don't see how this can work. The Flea's trackside ID number is 120455 You're right Danny. At sign up, a rider gives the Member#, or Trackside ID#, or Last Name. If we were to be like most other tracks, it would be helpful to have a net connection to access any pre-existing data about each rider. I believe we do not intend to be like other tracks, and we are not going to upload our data to any database. At least, not right now. I hope we eventually use the Trackside ID as designed including access to a central database, and transponders. I think the way it will work for us is just about like our current software (Dannyside ID ). We will build, and maintain our own database by adding them manually, until we decide to go with the net connection. After a rider is in our database, it's all good. Even if we were to use the ID# and net data, if the rider is not already in the database, his info has to be entered manually. All data has to be entered manually in the beginning. Just like Dannyside! ;D

I have worked at numerous tracks around Texas and NONE of them are on a common database. Each track has it's own database. If a track is running a series with another track, whoever is overseeing the series takes their laptop computer with their existing database to each track. I do not know of any Texas tracks at this time (including Whitney) who are on a common database. The trackside number Flea has will probably only pull up his information at the track he received it at UNLESS you provided that card/number when you signed up at another track and they CHOSE to use it. None of the tracks I work at even ask for the trackside card or number when you sign up. The trackside number is an option only.
