I will not be able to be at the track on Saturday at 10:00. I have to attend our baby shower that morning. I was planning on coming out there sometime after lunch to help out. What needs to be done? My plan was to weedeat for a few hours. I have a riding lawn mower I can bring if anyone thinks it would help or be beneficial. Any other tools? Would it be a bad idea to till the rough areas and then rake them smooth and repack them with a truck?

Would it be a bad idea to till the rough areas and then rake them smooth and repack them with a truck? I don't think anything needs to be packed. The part of the track that leads to the back is quickly becoming a pig trail again. I ran the rippers over it to try and remove some of the grass but didi little good. I was planning on doing a little hand work on the face of a couple of jumps I had trouble with using the tractor. I'm hoping I can knock it down just a little where the tires leave the ground before you crest the peak of the face.

Billy and I are bringing our riding lawnmower tomorrow night and/or Saturday and our weedeater -- it is pretty grown up out there.

Mike and I got the computer up and running.
The track is again hard as rock. The only thing that will do it good is lots and lots of water. Tilling and packing is out of the question and would make it rougher. I suggest closing the track at least 5:00 pm and pouring the water on it.
I will be out of town Saturday as well so anyone that can run the Water truck please do. It needs lots of water on it and the old red truck worked pretty good last saturday. You will need to bring some cans to fill it with gas though. Unsure how much gas it has in it right now.
By the way I am moving a Daughter out so who ever wants to move I will work at the track for them.
The awnings are up as well. Glenn and I put some extra braces on them and they are still a little flimsy.
Should be hot and dry for the races.
See everyone Sunday if I can still walk after moving all day.

I am so glad we spent $1200 on those awnings. It's good to know that our junk will be protected from the sun and rain. It would be crying shame if the water truck and tractor got some rust and fading from being exposed to the weather.
Regarding Saturday - will a second riding mower be needed or just some weedeaters?
