saturday march 24 is another tire amnesty day we may want to take advantage of. it says from 9am to 130 pm at the HOT fairground parking lot at the bosque blvd entrance. proof of residency for mclennan county is required. tires up to 33 inches in diameter and removed from the rims. it doesnt say any limit to quanity per person. i heard talk about getting rid of the tires at the track. this may help that issue.

Great! I think we hauled off about 1500 last time but there's plenty more where those came from. We need to start a pile up by the front somewhere so they will be ready to load when the time comes. I will caution anyone that is willing to round up the tires that snakes do hide in them. Last tire amnesty day a snake jumped out at one of the volunteers, just so happened that it was one of our tires.

FYI - Don't know if you read todays paper or you may already know this - looks like a change from last year. Need to only load 25 tires per trailer/truck. Here's a quote:
"McLennan County residents may bring 25 tires up to 33 inches in diameter for free and are limited to a total of 100 tires. Any tires that exceed the free 25 will cost $1 a tire up to 100.
Anyone bringing more than 25 tires will be asked to complete a survey concerning the tires they brought."

Brenda is right, only 25 tires per load. We have an estimate 150 stacked in 2 locations ready to be hauled off. 1 pile is by where the dumpster used to be, there's about 100 - 120 tires there. The other pile is at the north east end of the property, if you were to go over Rocky top and make the next turn headed toward the back straight you would be looking almost directly at them, maybe off to the left a bit. This pile is not as neatly stacked and there's about 30 - 50 there. We need volunteers to start loading now as many as they can get, not to exceed 25, so we make sure we have enough people to haul them to the HOT colliseum Saturday morning. We need to be at the colliseum at 9 am because last year the line got very long very early and several were turned away without a chance to unload if they didn't get there early. Waco Eagles really needs your help on this one. In the past they have only had this available twice a year but we don't know if they'll do it again. Again, please stop by and pick up a load starting as soon as possible to be ready to dump Saturday. We need to make sure we have the means to get them all hauled off.
Let me know ASAP if you got a load or will be able to get a load so we make sure we get them all. Post a message on here
Thanks
