There has been several suggestions regarding class restructuring, especially for the vet class. Let's hear what you would prefer.

Over 40 (No trophy class) a reduced entry fee. Over 30 A & B Most of the vets have kids running, this would allow us to have a few more $$$ for pain relievers. Ha Ha! If a over 40 wants to run a trophy class, they can run one of the over 30's as well. I also have been pondering the rest of the classes, this is what I came up with. Take the word Beginner out of all but 2 of the classes - Big Bike Beginner and Mini Beginner. The rules of running these three classes are the race director and a executive member will make the decision at the end of each race on the top three finishers. It will determined at that time if you would be bumped. I understand we have some verbage to keep the words Novice, Intermediate and Expert out due to AMA regs. However, how many are really in that situation. Chances are if you are a Novice, Intermediate or Expert, you are proud to be there and want everyone to know! This format would add one class, but no additional trophy cost due to the over 40 non-trophy. Here ya go.

I like the idea of: Probably, because I'm old. ____________________________ Or, maybe: Definitely because I'm old. ____________________________ Ron, in the revamp, you left out the Womens class.

You definetley need a womens class. Since my wife got her new 150R, she'll need a class to race in. She says she isn't going to race, but I know the bug will get to her and she'll be out there!! And I'm with you Ron, I don't want to get spanked by my wife!! (at least not on the track) ;D Let's give them their own class, and keep them out of the Vet classes! My ego couldn't handle getting beat...especially by my wife...on a smaller bike. Tim

What about an over 28 class? I have noticed that at several other tracks there is an over 25 class. I know I haven't raced in half a year but I need my disability insurance to start before I race again (April). I know there has to be a couple of people around my age that aren't old enough to ride with the old guys but don't want to bang bars with the fearless kids either.

I like Jason's idea with the 25+. I am also out there in his situation. I am not going to bang bars with the young kids anymore, but I am only 26. Plus, It would give the older guys a couple of options of which class they want to ride in.
But then again, we could go with:
25+ A 25+ B 40+
That would combine the faster 25+ riders together, and the slower 25+ riders together. Then you would be able to probably fill the classes better, and offer up more competitive, yet safer VET racing.
This also might relieve some of the "SANDBAGGING" in the Beginner classes, because the older beginners would qualify for a different class.

I would be offended Curt...but the truth hurts sometimes! I don't care how they make up the classes. I'll find somewhere to race. Hopefully not with Curt...I seem to crash everytime I race with him. Hmmmm. Tim

In addition to the: 25+ 35+ 45+ I'll be lobbying for: 55+ in only a few years!
