Just FYI: I purchased Nick one of these a few months ago... They work great.. It is a spine/back protector and kidney belt all in one... Youth and Adult sizes... Well worth the $$$

I think I'll check into one of those. I had been considering a CP with the foam protection down the back but it doesn't cover as much area as this device. Thanks for the heads up.

The Flea got his Back protector today and I had to cut both ends. Just a little long, but he says it feels real good.

If you haven't checked this out for your mini rder, you need too!! I wish you could see the scuffs and scrapes this thing has taken... Just think without it,how it could be???!!!
Trust me Nick and Lee have put it too the test!!
If you want to see it or try it on, stop one of us at the track and we would be more than happy to let you check it out!!

Which one are you talking about? I'll have to take a look at it. I just got Austin the all in one suit- and it fits great and he said it is more comfortable than the outside protector he has from KTM- It was about $100.00 but it seems to have it all- so it is well worth it.

Michelle, The one Lisa is talking about has a kidney belt and then the spine protector going up the back. You wear it in combination with your hard plastic chest protector. The suit you got is the 661 like my guys have. There are pros and cons to both. The 661 suit costs more - but it replaces the elbow pads, spine protector, kidney belt and chest protector and adds more protection down the arms. But it doesn't keep your jersey from getting torn up if you do crash -- since the jersey is on the outside. It also is probably going to be hotter for the summer - but we are going to deal with that by just taking it off between motos and cooling off. The other way - using the spine & back protector, adding elbow pads and a chest protector -- protects the jersey more -- some riders think it's more comfortable, etc. So to me it's really just rider preference -- whatever they will wear without griping! Because that's their choice - no gear, no ride for my boys! Brenda

You mentioned wearing it under your jersey gets hot. Several months ago I started wearing my CP under my jersey thinking it would be too hot for the summer but surprisingly it's cooler that way. I wear a t-shirt, the CP over it and then the jersey and I guess it lets me breath better or get better ventilation. I plan on getting the 661 when I can and use it so when I saw that Rick Denny uses one I asked him if it was hot. He said it was actually cooler too.

I have the 661 (full sleeves, black and red) and have never used anything else. If it's cooler then I'd hate to see how hot the others get. It is comfortable to wear though and doesn't hide the threads.
I picked one up on airbomb.com and used the name your price. $125 for an adult large.
