Anybody else notice that non riders (or people not associated with this sport) always ask about if you've crashed or tell you not to get hurt before a race? This makes my blood boil. We tell each other good luck or have fun but they want to always mention falling down. I know it's going to happen, if they rode they would know it too and realize there's more to talk about than the mishaps that happen every now and then.

Hummmmm, all depends who saying it...... Top 5 people who can get away with saying Don't fall or Don't get hurt... (5) Sweet little girl looks up at Daddy and says. "I love you Daddy, Don't fall down. (4) Sixteen girlfriend to her sweetheart. (3) Great Grandmaw down from Tennisee (2) Dad who has replaced the plastic three time in the last two months. #1 Person who can get away with saying "Don't get hurt or Don't fall down. (1) ME (wife) to MIKE #36 Suz, over 40 class. We're still paying on the last fall! ;D Is ride safe okay to say?

It's ok to say be careful. You don't tell somebody playing baseball try not to strike out. You tell them to hit a homer. I just think that it's negative talk and I've already stopped my mom and girlfriend from talking about crashing and focus on what I'm doing right and need to improve on. I don't know why but when people say, "You're going to hurt yourself on that thing" it just gets to me.

My daughter (who rides a kx85) to me on race day; Before the race, "Be careful, I love you, do good and don't get hurt" After the race, "You need to keep your elbows up more" "You need to not let off when hitting the jumps" "You sucked, but I love you" ;D Gotta love an honest kid!
