Ok.. I know they are just as welcome as everyone else who pays for a membership. But ,they just tear up our track. We got there today about 12:30. Did ride through to see if anything needed to be fixed.. All looked great as far as we were concerned. The rain did track alot of good. Smooth riding for Craig & kids, Craig said best he's felt track since coming back from TDY. Until around 3:30 all heck breaks loose with 6/8 Wheelers baja through and over and just tearn' it up. Dust look like a small tornado was over track. Craig said, traction went to hell , after that. Sorry, had to get that off my chest. Sure wish they had their own track to tear up.

There has always been a rival between 2 & 4 wheels on every track. I'm sure the quad riders think the same of us. On a positive note, when the track is standing in water the 4-wheels guys can splash more of it off than us. ;D

Ok, I have always tried to be kind and get along with everyone because I know there are problems between bikes and quads. Like Jeff said, we smooth the ruts instead of create them. Danny Krumnow has even told me that a quad is better for a wet track than a bike because our wider tires smooth out the wet areas. I can understand how the dust can be a problem. Two wide tires throw more dirt that one narrow tire. I also agree with you that we should have our own track. I would love that! I'm not sure I know what you are talking about when you say the quads tear up the track. To us, the bikes tear it up. 95% of the bike riders at WEMC ride the same line all the way around the track. Believe it or not, this causes ruts in the track. Take a walk over to the whoops for some true evidence of that. Try jumping a quad off the face of a jump that has a rut worn in one side of it. The outcome is not always pretty! Like you said, everyone is equal and just as welcome as the next so until we are able to afford another track - Can't we all just get along?! ;D
P.S. - Two tracks would be another nightmare. Who would keep the bikes on their track and the quads on theirs? We would certainly have to have certain hours of operation for the track so that someone could be there to oversee the whole thing. This would mean that you would lose the ability to come and go as you please.

Ok.. I didn't know that 2 wheels cause 4 wheels track problems also. I'm just a girl !! I do hear what you are saying.. I do.. I wasn't trying to not get along .. I was just being a girl an complaining. So please forgive me!! I learned something today by both comments. Thank you , for giving me the other sides views. I still don't like all the dust they kick up !! I thought I'd gotten a great tan, til I took a shower and saw a mud puddle in my tub !!! ;D

Yes, The dust is a problem. I haven't raced the last two months and that has alot to do with it. If you are not in front of the pack, it is hard to see and breathe. This is where watering equipment would make a big difference in the condition of the track (I'll save this subject for another complaint section). There are always several in every group that push things a little too far and unfortunately, we will all just have to deal with them the best way possible. Until WEMC is the perfect facility for all our members, we will just have to make the best of it and have as much fun as possible.

Hmmm...here's another point of view:
Bikes and quads don't tear up the track. Riders do.
Ruts and dust are not problems, they are obstacles.
Watering the track (when we get a truck that works) will help the dust "obstacle".
Ruts........Isn't this motocross? Ruts are part of the challenge. At least, they are to me.

Ruts are dangerous period. They are not so bad on prepared tracks but at Waco Eagles they are especially dangerous because they get so hard. On a hard track you can not escape the rut once you are in it. If you notice prepared tracks rarely plow their jumps and this is to keep the ruts down in these areas, which are really bad areas to inadvertantly get crossed up.
