I have been calling around getting quotes on the membership car tags. By Monday I should have all the quotes back. Turn around time is about 3 weeks. So far they are looking to run us around $300.00 for 400 tags
WACO EAGLES MOTORCYCLE CLUB & Key number will be on the tags. Each year the color of the tags will change unless you want to put the experation date on them, I just thought the color would be easier to spot.
Let me know what you think?

Sounds like a deal to me! What material will they be made in? Will they hold up to a year of use. I think different colors each year is a good idea. Like you said, it will be easier to spot and know that people are up to date on thier memberships. What will the policy be for people who don't use them, forget to bring them, lose them, etc.? I think things are moving in the right direction, but until your suggestion is put into place of having track hours with someone running the track, the problem will never go away. I am not at all opposed to only having the track open during certain hours. I think that with the volunteers we have, we can run it in shifts so that someone is not sitting out there all day.

They will be made of a plastic material, I've had one in my truck going on two years. They are the staff's parking tag a school.
If you do not have your tag then be ready to be asked if you are a member and what your key # is. Tags wont stop all the non-members from trespassing, but it will make them stand out better.
I also think getting a newsletter out to all the members that we are cracking down will help. I'll be willing to bet that there are several who don't even know they can't bring out non-member.
We have close to 350 members at this time, maybe 20 of them come to the meetings, and 1/2 of our member don't set down at computers. When signing up they aren’t given anything with the rules and requirements. That's going to change this year. Been working on a packet already. Gene is putting together a booklet with the by-laws, constitution and history in it. That's going to be cool.

I hope it doesn't come to having the track only open for certain hours or days. Everyone has different schedules and times when they can ride. I think that is one thing they like about WEMC is that they are able to ride at their convenience. For instance, as I drove by this morning at 7:30 a truck was pulling in with a 4-wheeler, and I think maybe this is the only time can ride. If with this years membership renewal, we get the information out to members explaining what is expected and not expected of members, maybe some of the problems we have can be eliminated. Like Paula mentioned, she believes some of the members don't even know they aren't allowed to bring in non-members. I know this is true, because I came across one of those members. I like the idea of the tags and it is up to us members to help enforce the rules. With this new tag system, it should be stated if they do not have it with them, they might be approached by another member asking them for their key# and name to prove membership. I pay my membership and don't wan't others who have not paid come and add to the wear and tear of the track. Where else can you go and pay $60.00 (renewal fee rate) a year and ride anytime you want. If you were able to ride 365 days a year, this is less than twenty cents per day. What a bargain.... ;D I think as a club we are headed in the right direction and I just wish more people would get involved and come to the meetings. But for those of use who are more involved than others, let's stick together and keep going in the direction we are and make WEMC a better place.

Don't sweat it... I know where you’re coming from. I'm sure we are a long way from putting times and days on the track. If we can get the message out to the public and INFORCE it in time things will get better.
I'm off this summer and wouldn't mind spending some time policing the track.... BUT! I don't ride and it get's boring. There just so much a non-rider can do out there. I have talked to Mike about getting me a trail bike, but that kinda went in one ear and out the other.
It's going the take putting together a committee. This committee of about 15 would be required to learn and enforce the track rules. People want to say something but don't because they aren't sure just what to say or do. I will work on a form with the following for each committee member to have. The release form can be printed on the back of this form.
(1) Ask if they are a member, If they are not WRITE down their name and phone number.
(2) Ask who are they with or how did they get in. Write the members name & key #
(3) Ask if they have signed a release and paid their fee If not have them do so or leave the property.
(4) Member they came with must be on the property while the non-member is there.
(5) Report all encounters to membership president.
I know this sounds like a lot, but if we don’t all get on the same page it’s not going to work.

Paula I have an issue with this nonrider thing. You ride that 4 wheeler quite often that makes you a rider.

I don't call it a 4/wheeler; I call it my hover round. Besides I only get to use it on race day.
My goal is to learn to ride. Mike made an attempt a few years ago. Uhhhhhh….. Let’s just say that wasn’t a good day for Chad’s enclosed trailer.
Goes something like this;
New 85 Suz dirt bike. $$$$ In the thousands
It' all in the fun anyway.
Dent in trailer. $200
Helmet: $65.00
Look on Mike’s face: PRICELESS
Not sure Mike wants to go there again, so I'm looking to do it myself. Wanting to get a 150 trail bike. Something with little less power ther their race bikes.

Paula !! that is the funniest thing I've read!! The kids were rollin !! I would like to say I agree with membership tags. How will it work if you need 2 per family? Craig & Reyce come out and sometimes Riley and I follow later. Push board is done..and finishing Emergency board#'s. Sorry, I've been down an out since surgery, and then I got real sick. Hoping to be out April 17th for race day. Hoping to find someone to get Reyce's bike back here, I'm really grateful you & Mike have stored it this long. Reyce will only be able to ride that weekend til Craig gets back he is having 2 surgeries. And will be down for a few weeks. Thank you again !! And how much are the Waco Eagles stickers.

how much are the Waco Eagles stickers. The stickers are $5.00. You need to contact Danny Krumnow (DaddyFlea) to get one. He has black and white ones. He is selling them for what he's got in them and it all came out of his pocket so I know he'd appreciate it.
