Saturday we had a very scary moment. There was what appeared to be a "new to riding" kiddo out there. GREAT!!! We need new blood and I love to see kids on bikes. However, one of the young riders came over the finish line jump and stopped, then decided to turn off the track. Gage came over and T-Boned him. Fortunately Gage took the brunt of the hit. I say that as Gage has some time under his belt and has learned to fall. However he is really bruised up and Dad has to fork out $$$ for new bars. Thank god, it was not a big bike or it could have been catastrophic!
Lets face it, none of us like seeing a kid on the ground, especially when it is yours. Our kids are our future, pride & joy and legacy. We must ensure they understand the rules and dangers of our already very dangerous passion.
There are not many rules in MX riding when it comes to rider eticate. However one of the biggest rule is to exit and enter properly.
We were lucky this time.

Rage had a pretty nasty crash. When Ron got him up and talking Ron asked him to get his bike and Rage was "like, uh what bike dad"... Seriously, folks we don't need any more unnessary accidents. When we first came here it was my boys first time on a track and there were only one or two bikes on the front part of the track so the boys and I watched and thought we had it right but TY TOOK OFF THE WRONG WAY!!! Thank GOD noone was coming over the finish line jump when he was going up it. Somewhere along the way someone turned him around. Then a few days later Austin just cut off the track right in front of Jeff. Some how Jeff got on the brakes, slid and turned and missed him... Jeff then explained (very calmly I might add) to me Austin and Ty how to exit the track and how to hold your line. We then sought out track instruction from Danny, Ron, Jeff and others.

Thanks for the concern. The "Rage" is doing fine. He helped clean bikes and equiptment yesterday and is ready to ride!!! Now if I can get him to cut that hair! His only comment on his body art is "Chicks dig it!"
