Not us, got tired of the hi-dollar entry fees and poor race direction, great track, just run like crap.

Matt and Nathan Gerik will be there.
For this race the minis will race on Saturday and big bikes on Sunday. It will really help with the crowd. BUT Whitney always seems to take a long time to sign in and is ALWAYS late getting started. Try to pre-register. Must have an AMA card (can purchase at the track if needed). In the past Whitney has made you bring your kid to sign up (AMA rules)... so make sure you don't stand in line while the kids are back at the pits sleeping with out checking if they need to be there with you. It really stinks to go back, get the kiddos and come back to stand in line AGAIN! Also bring your bike frame # to sign in. I always try to get to sign in extra early to beat the crowd.
Gate fee may be charged for 2 days and the second day refunded if you leave on Saturday after the races but plan on bringing extra cash! In fact bring lots of extra ... I'm sure there will be some sort of fee I missed. I would not count your money before you left home because when you leave the track you won't feel so bad about what it just cost.
In the 50cc class make sure your bike is in the STOCK form. Don't want to pay all the money and get DSQ.
GOOD NEWS is that it is a really great track (we may even have cooler weather then) and a close drive to race with some of the best competition in the country! The first round of the Pro-Circuit series had only 12 to 15 7-8yr olds on 50s but I think 3 of the kids went to Lorettas this year and I think Shelby Peterson placed 3rd overall. I would expect a few more at kids at Whitney. In the 4-6 class my little one can barley keep up. The kids are so fast!
Just remember if $ = Fun then it will be real FUN. ;D ;D

I concur, takes lots of cash. Leave any means of pit transportation at home, bring an umbrella for shade and don't ask any track personel for anything or you'll upset them.
I used to think Whitney was the bomb even tough it costs so much. The last couple of times I've been I couldn't help but notice how run down and trashed the place has become. Typicaly one would expect to recieve the kind of welcome and treatment you'll get at Whitney only in a prison. The track is loads of fun and the dirt is tilled deep and wet to perfection, some of the little bikes have a hard time pulling in it at morning hot laps.

I think the track personnel have to deal with quite a few more MX psychos than you would find at a more personnel local race. It appears they may not always be accustomed to dealing with civilized people like us (well I'm hoping I 'm kinda civilized).
There will have been no maintenance since the Spring Classic but we have had no rain so the grass should be short (but probably lots of stickers).
NO shade in parking area.
Lots of walking (unless you have a golf cart).
AND don't forget to bring the $$$$.

Don't get me wrong Mark, I love the Whitney track and I have not ever had any "run ins" with anyone there except when my daughter got scolded for riding her bike back from the jetting area to our pit. It probably would not have been an issue had she been a boy but the fact that she was not in full gear they probably thought she was just riding in the pits. No harm done and rules should be enforced because they are for our safety. As myself and others have mentioned, Whitney is more expensive but it is an experience that you should give a shot. Just be sure to read and understand the rules and be prepared to suffer the consequencies if you don't.

ya , just want my boy to experience faster riders and take it all in , because you don't get many opp's to try it again and it will be a blast for him . Next time he may be in 7-9 age group before he gets to try again ! He will have to really advance quick if he wants to compete with that age group . thanks mark
