danny are those hand guards just deflectors or are they connected at the grip looks like they are just mounted inside the handle bars and just curved out .are those the safe kind where if your hands slip they don't get caught in side , a friend was wanting a pair but didn't know which ones to buy ??

The gearing on the bike is stock and I am replacing it with stock gears and chain. The Handguards are open end but I am replacing them with Bark Busters. Bark Busters are closed and not legal on some MX tracks. Lee ran Bark Busters for years and the risk of your arm going through and breaking it is real but can be cut down by leaving them loose. The risk is offset by the protection received. On starts you will not get your front brake pulled and flipped and when going down you can hang on to the bike without getting your hand torn up. Ron runs them on all his bikes as well. This is Lee on his Cobra and KTM 50s with Bark Busters.
