That is a good question. From what I have seen, A good exhaust system works best when it is combined with other mods. Such as jetting, cam, piston etc. How much do you want to spend? I personally have seen a good increase of power throughout the performance, with the best power in the midrange when a FMF power core slip on and Stage 1 hot cam and jetting were used! One of the fastest riders I know, has a bone stock 07 YZ 250f [except chain and sprockets] He can hang with Mods and 450's. So if your pulling all the power from your 250f some mods may be worth the huge amount of MONEY you can spend. I found out the hard way that I can spend allot of money making a bike look good BUT it didn't make the rider any faster. I would have spent my money more wisely having the suspension done and still would have had change left over!
