Please bare with me as I am female and new to motocross. But I have a 1997 Suzuki RM125. It sits too tall for me. We tried lowering it, but it's still not enough. Now comparing this bike to other Suzuki RM125's it looks more like a 250cc. The 125's I have looked at look smaller and fit me perfect. It may be the differences in year models. The papers I have assures me that it is a 125cc. Is there any suggestions I could try? We will be at the track on Friday and on Sunday for the races. Maybe someone can give me some pointers. I may end up having to sell or trade for something smaller. Thanks!

One option is to shave the seat 1 or 2 inches. That way, you are lowered, and you don't need to make any adjustments to the suspension that might make it ill-handling. I'm not sure, but there may be someone in the Club that can do it for you. It's not the only option, and it may not work if you need the bike lowered more than you can shave from the seat. Just something to consider.

Chrissy, I can do a "Sipe Saddle Seat" for ya. I have done this on almost all the 85 class bikes (Gage, Flea, Karson, Ty). I can bring the stuff to do this for ya next weekend. Free of charge for our new member. You can see it on Gage;s bike

Thanks! I greatly appreciate it. I was a little worried on how I can take off without either dying or laying it over. I'm fine once I get going. I'm practicing on how to position my body on it. I realize now my legs aren't as strong as I thought. I will work on that for the future. Thanks again for all your help. - Chrissy McCourt (AKA short legs, LOL!!!!

Oh, I forgot to ask. There is 2 tears in the seat, would that be a problem? I can get some more material to cover the seat if needed.
