I recently bought a 1990 RM 250 and want to change the oil in the crankcase. Anyone know what I should use? Thanks...

i have always used castrol 20w50.
whatever you choose, be sure to look at the 'oil certificate' which is the round emblem on the back of the container. the bottom half of the circle may say 'energy conserving'. alot of 10w30 or 30w oil say that. if it does say energy conserving on the certificate you CANNOT use the oil in your dirtbike. it will make the clutches slip. energy conserving oils have an additive to improve the 'slickness' of the oil. castrol 20w50 does not say 'energy conserving' on the circle certificate. it has always served me well. thats my 2 cents.
