To all my Waco family, just wanted to get on my horse and lecture a bit on safety. Many of you know I am sidelined due to a neck injury. My problems started 20 years ago when I damaged vertebrae in my neck. I have been through years of physical therapy and surgeries. Now at the ripe ol' age of 45, I am in pain every day and it looks like my riding days are over for good. To my point, back in the day, we never had the protection we have today. No neck support or back support devises were available. Today there are many items out there to help prevent these types of life changing injuries. So, please spend the money to protect yourself or your precious children. We will spend thousands of dollars to make our bikes go faster or look pretty, but fail to spend a few bucks to ensure our protection. There are many devices out there starting from $29.00 up to $1000. All of them offer protection. If I would have had a $20 neck roll 20 years ago, I would may not be looking at $250,000 in neurosurgeon bills! and living daily with pain. As our kids go faster the injuries are more likely, as we grow older, our bones grow weaker. Don't wait..... get some protection now!

Good advice...Ron-Ron........and everyone always needs to remember WEAR YOUR HELMET...even if your just going to play in the backyard or go puttn around in the pits, I have seen more head injuries from people that just don't strap that helmet on........ My doctor told me one time the head is like a BALLOON, you only get one good POP and thats it........... We all know how dangerous this sport can be, it can change a life in a split second, so as Ron says, always be prepared and wear the proper gear and protection......And I too am speaking from allot of experience. Ron, hope you get better, miss seeing ya on that bike............
