Off topic here Jeff, but great job, hats off to everyone that helped with donations etc.. on our recent loss of Christmas toys etc.. Glad to see you got a guitar. maybe you can make new memories with it & with a little luck in a few years it will have even more sentimental value.
I haven't been posting anything about your losses because, over the last 2 months I have been taking care of my father. He's been very ill. I spent about 3 nights a week there, plus going over and watching him during the day when someone else had to leave. Last week he went extremely down hill. He passed away Saturday morning at 4:00 A.M. I spent all day Sat. & Sunday making plans. My brothers, sisters & I assured him that we would be there for him every step of the way. He was so miserable last week that I got no sleep during the nights & was glad to do it. He fought tooth & nail until the end. The same way he taught us to work and play. His rosary on Sunday was filled with hundreds of people. His funeral was also attended by hundreds. My point is he loved Christmas & it took me a few days to figure out that it was a perfect time for him to pass. After the funeral yesterday our family went ahead and had what we call our Christmas eve, where we all sat, drank, sang and watched the kids open presents. That's a small feat considering there are 23 people in our family with our kids and their spouses. We all could not have been happier. What a special time of year where you can see the best character come out of people. The same character that you have been seeing. We're both very lucky to witness such events. I will treasure every night I spent at his house recently and our talks in the middle of the night. It has been a great Christmas for the Kasberg's knowing our dad is finally resting. And it's been a great Christmas for the Waco Eagles Motorcycle Club. Out of the sadness came a whole lot of happiness for all of us. For all that helped Jeff, Thank You, reading the posts every night helped me also.
