Tim has had it pretty rough yesterday. He went to do a little riding at the track yesterday and after a few laps was feeling pretty good, then it happened. Apparently he missed his back brake going in to the corner before the double as you leave the back section of the track and high-sided over the berm. The 1st results was a broken clavical and some bruising. A trip over to Providence should have been the end of it but it wasn't. A little later, back at the house, Lori has run to the pharmacy to get his prescription filled while Tanner is to watch him. Time decided he would need some food to take his medicine with so he sent Tanner on a food run. When Lori & Tanner got back to the house they found Tim doubled over, having a hard time breathing and drifting in & out. They could not get him straightened out so they called 911. The ambulance took him to Hillcrest where they found he had a collapsed lung and an air pocket in his heart sack. As of 10pm, he had been moved to a room at Hillcrest and was resting, for now that's all I know.

Maybe he'll be lucky like me and have chest tubes put in. Hope it turns out well. This is a dangerous game, I know getting hurt scared the crap outta me.

Dang Hope you get better... I dont know about Providence's emergency room, but this is the same place I went when I thought my ankles where broke after the 07 arena cross, they xrayed and told me that it looked like they where broke and put me in walking casts and a set of crutches and sent me on my way with the advise to make an appointment to see my ortho surgeon, turns out we couldnt get in until the Wed. following the accident and he said that I should have never left the hospital that day and should have went in to surgery then, he took me out of the wheelchair and sent me back to the hospital where we talked to the ortho surgeon there and scheduled surgery the next day. Providence has a great Heart hospital but there ER care leaves a lot to be desired. Tim I hope you get to feeling better.

When I had my surgery at Killcrest (Had a torn aorta, punctured lung, broken ribs, Etc), There was a chance when they did the heart surgery when the blood was stopped, It would build fluid on the spine or something. After ICU and a long stay in the hospital, they sent me out without seeing if I could walk or doing any kind of MRI.
It turned out I couldn't walk at all, or even stand!!! Mom called them back and they said she wasn't being hard enough on me. It amazes me how theses thing happen. After that I went to Dallas and the very long story of uncovering more problems and learning how to walk continues.
On my recent Killcrest visit when I broke my collar bone, they sent me staggering out of the hospital with no wheelchair or shirt on.

He's back home and on the road to recovery. I didn't make it to see him in the hospital but from my experience I never did like to have many visitors when I didn't feel good, and I don't think he was feeling too good. He lives a couple of blocks from me and I plan on stopping by before the weekend to check on him.

Hello all,
Thanks for the prayers and all. I am at home and feeling much better!! I will actually get to take a shower today...instead of a sponge bath!!
It's good to know there are good folks out there that are genuinely concerned about their fellow members!! I appreciate each of you and look forward to thanking you in person.
As far as Hillcrest goes, I know several of you have ill feelings toward them, (rightfully so), but I can't say anything negative towards them. From the time I was admitted, until they wheeled me to the car, they were on top of things. I have no complaints and would not hesitate to go back if necessary...
...Providence on the other hand...no thanks! I'll save that comment for when I can type with both hands!!
Thanks again, and I will see you at the races on Sunday...we may need someone to run the starting gate this month...it's hard to do with one hand!!
Tim
