Thanks go out to all who have called or text to check on me. I have many good friends!!!!!
In regards to what happened, it is all Mike Brem's fault!!!! ;D. Seriously, I was on the 3rd or 4th lap and hit the finish line double.....hit a kicker Stevie Wonder could have seen, front end dissappeared, I tried to bail (I know Curtis, you would have been proud), but failed to get far enough from the bike. Bike hit the face of the double and then my foot hit the bars. d**n Renthal twin walls are STRONG!!!
I was able to manage a top 5 in the +40 open, and 13th in the +30 open.
I am truly thankful for having so many good friends!!!! See everybody soon.
Tim Waid

Knowing Tim, he probably got up, finished the race, cleaned and loaded his bike, then walked to the ambulance and asked for a band-aid. You da man, Tim! Heal up soon!

I called and checked on Tim Waid this morning ( Sunday ) . He had surgery on his ankle yesterday . The ankle was shattered in many pieces making it difficult to repair . It is wrapped in some sort of wire mesh with some external hardware . He was getting another morphine shot as we hung up . The Doctors dont know at this point about healing time , mobility , or future riding as time will tell with recovery and therapy ;approx. 6-8 weeks . His employers are supportive . So , just keep praying and calling to wish him a speedy recovery . He is still at Integris Southwest Medical Center room 706 in Oklahoma City .

Hey All,
It is Friday the 28th. Getting released today from the Hospital here in Waco. Came in Monday and Dr. Kenneth Cobbs removed all of the external fixation device and plated the bones from the inside. Several advantages to doing this.....less chance of infection, better alignment of bones, and most of all, less recoup time!! Looking at about 6 months out. Looking forward to getting back to riding with everyone. Thanks for all the calls, texts, e-mails, etc. Your support has been awesome!!!
