I would like to thank Mrs. Barney Fife for reminding me how dangerous and careless it is to ride my daughters 4 wheeler in the grass pit area where the kiddie track once was. I just wish she would have told the old flat tracker #6 parked right next to her the same thing and also advise him which direction to go on the mx track. We met almost head on in a corner in the back section. Just like Barney she was quick to point out the rules and state she was on the board. I have been a member at Waco eagles off and on for 20 years. I have seen other board members without helmets on motorcycles, atvs, and pitbikes at the mx races. Plus countless spectators and racers parents on machines also. I know it does not justify my carelessness or thoughtless act. You should patrol the mx races, think of how many lives could possibly be saved. Also I just got back from the Houston supercross. Could have used you there also. During the opening ceremony Kevin Windham rode the track with his 5yo son sitting in front of him on the bike. Neither had a helmet on in front of 50,000 people. Again it does not excuse my breaking of the rules. If it's one thing I have learned from 25 years in customer service is that most people treat you the way you treat them. To raise your voice with the first word out of your mouth was totally uncalled for. Randy

What is even worse is some of the "board members" come out one/twice a year and throw their weight around. I am not aware of any pit rule of a helment, as long as you are not hauling A$$?? However on the track it is a requirement. We need some of the board members to step up and start getting involved with the many other issues we have going, other than pissing off valued members!
