Sometimes you have to make hay when the sun is shining, and right now it just peaked its head through the clouds for Waco Eagles. Understanding that for some, receiving membership renewals as I type, this may not be the best time to ask but here goes anyway.
As I'm sure everyone would agree, our restroom at the track is not a very comforting place to do your business, especially if your a girl. After this past weekends events I was approached by one of our members that seemed to be on the receiving end of attack by several of our women patrons. The single biggest complaint about Waco Eagles was the lack of restroom facility. Long story short, Michael Brem has offered his services to build a new restroom that we can be proud of. He will supply all the labor, donate a Durolast roof, and kick in $200. That great but we still need to cover the rest of the supplies and material and that's where you come in. I am personally kicking in an additional $100. along with Sipe, Stovall, McNamara, Stevens, and several others. Mitchel's Cycles is also in, and Munn said he would write a check for $900. Jeff Brown will be donating the insulation and Kasburg is supplying the counter tops. The building will have a solid roof and real metal exterior doors. The floor will even have ceramic tile so it will be easy to clean.
If each member would donate only $10 we would probably have more than enough and in turn lessen the burden on the rest of us, however we all know that won't happen. That being the case, please give what you can. Any amount will be appreciated!
Donations can be dropped off in the honor box at the track, left at Mitchel's Cycle shop on La Salle, of given to myself any of our officers. The time frame is very short. This new building will be operational before the next motocross race on June 20th.
