I wanted to take a moment to clarify about the clinic at the Waco Eagles track this Wednesday with pro rider Tevin Tapia. There is no mandatory fee. Everyone is invited to attend regardless of your ability, or willingness to pay, and you skill level on a bike. You also do not need to be a Waco Eagles member to attend. Everyone will sign a gate release when you enter (see Jessie Snider when you get there). There is no gate fee.
Tevin is basically a privateer rider and has to pay his own travel expenses. He will use any monies donated from this clinic to help with his travel and living expenses on the road. (He lives in California).
Thursday we will have Ricky Renner at the track as well and everyone is also invited out for that. Again there will be no charge. Ricky will be raffling off the gear he wore at the Las Vegas Supercross a few weeks ago in an effort to help with his travel expenses. In return both of these riders want to give to the club and their fans of themselves. Both are in hopes of generating a fan base and introduce themselves to motocross enthusiasts who may not know who they are.
Both riders chose Waco because they both have ridden at Waco and have already met several of our members and found us a nice group of people. If they only knew..lol
Jessie is considering having a 50/50 raffle on both days. That is where you buy a ticket and the winner of the raffle gets half the pot while the other half will go to the boys for expenses. This is also a volunteer thing. No pressure.
The bottom line is that Waco Eagles just wants to help bring something special to the track and the ultimate goal to for everyone to enjoy themselves and have a good time.
