I reluctantly loaded up and went to the track this afternoon when I got the word it was open. Sure looked kind of wet and it began to drizzle on the way out but I persisted. I got to the track, unloaded and geared up, it was off to ride finally! 1st lap was of coarse the parade lap then on to the 2nd at a much quicker than a turtles pace. Twice through the whoops to knock the mud off and it was time to load up and come home. 20 minutes driving time each way, 5 minutes riding time, 1 hour bike wash time. Should've stayed home!

Sorry about the muddy track. I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked out to lunch this afternoon and the sun was shining . I almost forgot what it was like. However, due to the drizzle most of sunday and rain last night at the track, I have put the rain lock on. I will stop by this evening and check it out and possibly open it back up tomorrow. However, I know the weather has called for some rain again on Wednesday. I know some people get a bit upset when the track is closed, and I was hesitant to open it yesterday because of how wet it still was, but was encouraged to do so. I hope no damage was done. I know everyone is itchin to ride, but I prefer a dry track as opposed to a sloppy wet one. All this yucky weather will pass in time, and in July we will all be racing in our dust bowl and wishing a shower or two would come our way.
