I know that one of our local over 30 riders was injured, I hope all is okay with him.. If anyone knows some info, please let us know! I can't remember his name but he was from Corsicana. Paula & I helped him into the ambulance. I had the task of removing his gear so the medics wouldn't cut it off. He was wearing knee braces so that in fact kept his injury from being worse than it could have. He hurt his leg in the pit bike race, twisting his knee a bit. In the O-30 race he came up a little short on a jump and felt his leg pop. In fact he said he heard it. There appears to be nothing broken but he did have some swelling. He mainly complained of hurting behind the knee. I figure he popped a ligiment or 2. Me and his brother got everything loaded up for him while he called his wife, she didn't seem to happy He was in good spirits and his brother drove him to the hospital, all the while they were talking about how he was complaining last week about paying all those insurance premiums and never using it. Guess that changed last night.

Sorry but the Flea and I just can not handle two days of ArenaCross especially at Waco. Just runs too long. I am of the opinion that the program would make more money and get more attendance if they scrapped the Pros.
In any event I was shocked to see Shawn Hurst still riding 50s. That kid has to be 10 or 11 years old. I was told he got off his 50 and ran an 85. These races used to be 50cc 7-9 and I noticed that they had 7-8 this year. If you got my E-Mail, you can read the thread in Cobra Talk where Shawn Sr admitted that his son #72 had been suspended for 6 Months for cheating and that was after the phoney birth certificate incident.
You would think there was big money on the line the way some of these parents act.
I would have loved to see Lee, Matt, and Kyle back on 50s lined up against him. Lee and Matt or still legal age to run against him too.

I really did not get your meaning by your post. Point I was trying to make was, the boy is too old and should have been running in some other class. It is not fair to the little riders to have to race against a kid that old and experienced. Sure he won the race, but I was not impressed at all. The kids need to progress. If I had kept the Flea on 50s, he would really be winning but it would have discourged the other riders and I think hurt him in the future. Not to mention the big hole in my pocket book from those expensive 50s. Kind of like playing yourself at checkers and giving one side two moves every time. You will always win, but it is not much fun.
