Man was it dusty today! Had a great time and I've never seen so many vehicles at the races in Waco. We may need to borrow that water truck from the FT guys & spread a little h20 on the mx track next month.

Yes, it was dusty. I think I brought home enough dirt to build small track myself. ;D It sure would be nice if we could get some water on the track if mother nature can't give us any help.

I agree - some water would be great! I had so much windblown dirt stuck my sunscreen that my sunburn is blotchy where the dirt was!

Although I did not race and enjoy the fun activities this weekend, I would have to agree on the dust issue. I rode Saturday afternoon and noticed how dusty it was. There was another quad rider there that has raced several times in the past and said that he would not be there for the races because it is too dusty and the track is not watered. Maybe we can get it wet down for the races next month.

By the way, I also told him that the solution to that is to stay in the front of the pack. The air is alot cleaner at the front. ;D

Man...I had a blast yesterday. It was the first time I'd ever raced. I raced beginner 2. 13 bikes signed up. What a ride. I got 4th first heat. Then...the second heat I was in 7th about to pass two guys and claim my trophy then I stalled my 426 going into a berm. Everyone passed me and the field got at least a 1/4 track length in front of me. I still managed to pass a few guys and got 10th. I got 6th overall. I didn't trophy but I still had a blast. Do they always only do 2 heats? or did they just cut it down for time? Anyway...I had a blast and I'll be there next month.

How was the turn out? I wish I could have made it but sometimes chores overrides fun.

Don't feel bad. The Flea ran away with his second Moto. I told him to slow down and be careful on the last lap. Just before the whoops in the corner he started celebrating, hit a little loose dirt and fell over. Since there was nothing for him to lean his bike on he could not start it. He went from 1st to third.
Wanting more Motos than two, No way. The races are lasting much longer than they should now. In fact I might guess that Mike will cut the laps down to no more than 4 next race.

i agree jeff It was real dusty out there. Parsons and Jesse coming out of some of those berms remonded me of being back in Iraq. Anyways it was truley great to be back at the track. I would like to extend our deepest thanks to all of the members that prayed for my speedy recovery , it means a lot to me and my wife caitlin. I truly believe it helped , I Also want to say hats off to MIke Paula and the rest of the crew, i have never seen the races go smoother, taking in to consideration the flat track mania and all. great job. It is great to see that the classes are getting more competitve. Flaggers nice job keeping everyone safe. Oh yeah HOw about the begginner 2 class. i have not seen that many battles going on in one race ever. Great job guys. well i will see ya'll next month. And i cant wait to be back in the mix again. It looks like I am going to need a lot of seat time to be in the mix though.. And thanks again to johnny baker for the use of the golf cart..It real enabled me to get around to say thanks to all the members that supported me in my time of need. He is just one of the prime examples of the great members of the wemc family..
