I recommend this track to everyone... I am just starting to get back on my bike after my injury in the waco arenacross last january, and this track is fun. It is real comfortable. I have ridden on it twice now, and when I went out there, it was nice. They groom the tack every week and the dirt is really soft. (It is not hard packed.) And they consistently water every week. It has a little bit of everything on it. A nice rythym section, whoops, doubles, small camelbacks, a couple of big table-tops, and some nice sweepers. I have been out there about 8 times with some friends, and everytime I go, they have changed some section to make it better. I hope everyone goes out in support of this track. They need riders to show up in support. They are just starting and it can be hard to start something from the ground up.

I agree with Rhymes326, aka: Jesse. (It was good to see and talk to you on Sunday at the races.) Took Garrett out on Saturday morning to ride the track and he liked it. We will be helping support this new track in that we are going to run the series. Like Jesse said the dirt is nice and well groomed. Come out on December 17th and give it a try. As the saying goes: "You don't know if you like it until you try it ;D

I think we're going to try it also -- hope to get out there for a practice one of these weekends before the first race. The boys are looking forward to it!

Yes there were quite a few Waco people out at Kempner on Saturday. There was the Stevens family, both Poteet families, Reyce Bogardus, Jason Johnson, Jesse Rhymes, Grier family, Christian & Bob James and Garrett. There were a few more, but don't rember their names. We all had a good time. Yes, this track is fun and friendly. I hope the racers at Waco will come out and give this track a try. First race at Kempner will be December 17, so come on out and have some fun with the rest of us.

Not that my opinion matters much, but I went to this track on Friday. It was fun and the people that run it are really nice. It's pretty much a one line track for a quad, but practicing on it was fun. This track proves that with proper preperation, the black dirt that we have all come to know as "concrete" in Waco, really can be soft and tacky! Unfortunately, we have about 4 times as much track to prep so it would be difficult to do at our track. Here's a short clip of my riding buddy finding the most fun line through the whoops. I saw it coming so I didn't get it all on film.

I made a trip down this afternoon to work out the soreness. As I type I am as mobile as the crypt keeper. Can't wait to get some seat time behind me. Learning to ride the new 4-stroke and having not ridden much in the last several months has taken it's toll on me this weekend. That said I did have a good time at Kempner today. Stoney Creek is a fun track. Randy invited me up to the house for coffee after our ride and showed me what they have in store for the 1st race coming up in December. They will be at our club club meeting Tuesday but till then asks that I thank all the WEMC members that came out this weekend. These people are passionate about what they do. For those that haven't been yet, I'll give a brief description as best I can. It's a smaller course than Waco but perhaps a little longer than Corsicana though not quite as wide (this is on their to do list before the 1st race along with the starting gate). The start off the main track and it's a left turn to merge. 1st is a step down - filled double. A short run to a 180 left with several good lines through, a short run back and on to a 45 right and over a small double to a step on type jump, both are very easy. A smaller right hand sweeping turn and over a bigger double out of the sweeper that I never did jump (because I'm old and scared). The track sort of flows to the right a bit then over a short table, winds around a bit then over a slightly bigger table then on to the whoops. S.C.'s are spaced a little further apart than ours and as with most whoops there's one that's a little taller than the rest making it very difficult to skim. I did however find a line nobody was using that seemed more toward my style. The fast guys were doubling through but not this KTM rider After the whoops there is a fast section left hand sweeper, right turn that leads up to a very long table, about 115'. There were a few guys clearing it but I made it about half way. After that was another long sweeper and on to the last big table (this seems to be the jump suited best for practicing the "whip" ;D Hang a right and you've done the 1st lap. They seem to share the same plague as every other mx track when it comes to water trucks, the power steering pump when out on theirs Saturday so the track was a little dry on top when I got there about 3pm Sunday. Even with no water and the most riders they've ever had on Saturday, the track was very easy to ride and I had minimal problems finding traction. I had my choice of a hard pack line or loose dirt in the corners, both worked fine. The directions to the track are spot on and it's very easy to find but I prefer the way I came home (the back way). In summary, I was so sore that I didn't want to do anything today but made the trip anyway. I had been intending to get down there for some months. The drive was pleasant both ways and the people were awesome! Only thing I think they should do is implement a policy that requires the guy riding the yz125 in the pits after everyone left (but us) should shift out of 1st gear when he hits 40mph. This guys shows up about 20 minutes before dark, gears up and unloads his bike. Though absolutely no one was on the track he insisted on drag racing himself up and down through the pits and throw dirt inside my car. When I started up to leave, dirt that blew out my a/c vents made the inside of my car look like Hiroshima. I had a great time!
