Just talked to Ron K, Karson broke a bone in his arm, which poked through his chest. He is going to have surgery tonight and has to stay in the hospital for 48 hours to ensure no infection. I am sure they will update us as this progresses. Keep this young man in your thought

well i guess my girlfriend alex beat me to it. but if it is ok with ron and karson i'd like to come up and see how he is doing but i totally understand if it's best not to. if it would be ok then give me a call or something. my number is 715-3107. thanks again. i halfway saw the crash and just stayed on the sidelines but when i noticed he was knocked out then i ran over there. he was doing really good too! right before the finish! i wish his injury wasnt this serious and hope everything is ok. i'm sure he will be fine. he sure is a tough kid

I don't have much time to type this, I came home to shower and get back so Ronda could come back if needed before morning. I'll be quick. But certainly you can come see Karson tomorrow, Alex. It would mean the world to Karson!!!! He looks up to you immensely. That goes for all his riding gang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is doing as well as can be expected. The bone in his upper arm broke and came up and out at or around his collar bone area. He went under and they pulled it back, pinned it and washed the area for infection. He'll be in until at least Tuesday sometime. I want to thank all of you but don't have time right now. So I will try to put something on tomorrow and thank all of you here and personally as well. I hope you understand, but I need to get back. I don't know what would be a good time to come visit but you can call me in the morn. @ 254-760-6272 and I'll let you know. His room # is 935. I assume after lunch would be ok. Call his room # as well. Aadam and Tom thanks for checking on him. And Adam, 11 year old young men are shaped into great and respected men by the way they take care of their friends, young and old! Thanks for coming to see your friend, it is something Karson, and our family will always remember YOU for! THANKS ALL OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ron Kasberg

Went to see Karson last nite,Lee and Denise where there.Karson was starting to get out of bed and walking around. No need for a cast, they pinned his bones together.Hopefully he will come home today(he's ready to get home)Carla asked Adam if all this scared him,he said no, it just makes me sad.I think thats how we all feel.We know Karson is going to be fine and up and running in no time. Team 99 is thinking about you Karson.
